Features

Everything a rental needs, nothing it doesn't

Rent on autopilot

Monthly charges go out on their own. Tenants pay by bank or card, or set up autopay on the day of the month that suits their paycheck.

Rent tenants can read

Break rent into line items like base rent, utilities and pet fees. Tenants see exactly how their total adds up.

Late fees and grace periods

Set a grace period and a late fee once. Rentology applies it, and you choose whether tenants can pay in parts.

Listings and applications

Publish a listing page for each vacancy, build your own application form, and collect documents in one place.

Tenants and roommates

Invite tenants by email and split rent between roommates by share. Everyone pays their own part.

Messages that become to-dos

Talk with tenants in the app, photos included, and turn a repair request into a to-do.

Home care reminders

Schedule seasonal upkeep like filter changes and gutter cleaning, and tenants get reminded when it's due.

Reminders you control

Choose when tenants hear about upcoming and overdue rent, so you're not the one chasing.

Documents and books

Keep leases and records with each property, track income and expenses, and hand your accountant a Schedule E.

Questions, answered

What does it cost?

Rentology is free for landlords. Tenants pay the payment processing fee when they pay online: at most $5 for a bank payment, or about 3% plus 30¢ by card.

How do I get paid?

Payments run through Stripe, the payment platform used by millions of businesses. You connect your bank once, and rent paid through Rentology goes to your account.

Can tenants still pay me another way?

Yes. Record checks, cash or other payments yourself and they show up alongside online payments, so your books stay complete.

What if roommates share a lease?

Set each roommate's share of the rent. Each one gets their own charge, pays their own part and can set up their own autopay.

How does autopay work for tenants?

Tenants save a bank account or card and pick a day of the month. Autopay always pays before rent turns late, and they can change or turn it off any time.

What does beta mean?

Rentology is new, and we're still polishing it. Everything on this page works today, but screens and features may change as we learn from the landlords and tenants using it.

Is my information safe?

Card and bank details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Rentology. Each landlord's data is kept separate, and tenants only see their own lease.

Spend less time chasing rent and more time on what's next

Set up your first property in minutes. It's free, and your tenants will thank you.
